PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES

Dear Participants of the anniversary 10th edition of the Oriental Expression Awards and the 10th Spring International Bellydance Competition,

Below you will find detailed information regarding the workshops, the Mega Oriental Show, and the competition.

📍 VENUE

All festival activities will take place at:

“Conference Center – University of West Attica (Ancient Olive Grove Campus)”
P. Ralli & Thivon 250, Aigaleo
(Near Aigaleo Metro Station – Bus 852 – Free open parking available)

• Car access: ONLY from the main entrance (Thivon 250)
• Pedestrian access: also available from P. Ralli street

WORKSHOPS

SATURDAY 28 MARCH 2026

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of each workshop.

• DRUM SOLO — with Valeria Karnysh
  12:00 – 13:30
• CLASSIC SONG — with Julia Farid
  13:45 – 15:15
• BALADI — with Julia Farid
  15:30 – 17:00
• IRAQI — with Kate Ksenzova
  17:15 – 18:45

Participants should bring:

• Soft athletic shoes
• Oriental hip scarves/belts (optional)
• Towel
• Change of clothes

MEGA ORIENTAL SHOW

SATURDAY 28 MARCH 2026

The show will take place at the theatre of the Conference Center.

• The Show ticket is included in the Full Pass
• Competition-only participants: €10 entrance fee

Doors open: 20:00
Show starts: 20:30

COMPETITION

SUNDAY 29 MARCH 2026

• Competition starts: 09:00
• Doors open: 08:00

Please arrive on time and no later than 30 minutes before your category.

AWARD CEREMONIES

To avoid overcrowding, THREE award ceremonies will take place:

• ~15:00 — Ceremony for Part A competitors
• ~21:30 — Ceremony for Part B competitors
• ~00:50 — Ceremony for Part C competitors

✔ Winners’ prizes will be distributed in the Theatre Foyer after each ceremony

✔ Certificates (workshops, winners & participants) will be sent electronically

MUSIC REQUIREMENTS

• Bring your music on a USB stick (backup required)
• Mobile phones are NOT accepted
• USB must contain ONLY your tracks
• File format: MP3 or WAV
• File name format:
  CATEGORY + NAME

LIVE TABLA SOLO

Participants will perform in groups of 3, 4, or 5, according to backstage instructions.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

During the Competition and Show, video recording and photography will take place.

Performance Video

• €15 (if booked & paid by 5 April 2026)
• €20 after that date
