EXCITEMENT AND ENTHUSIASM AT THE "KNOSOS" THEATER
Famous Dancers and Bellydance Superstar JASIRAH Enchant Athenian Audience
International Competition, Workshops, and Oriental Show
With great success, the 8th International Bellydance Competition organized by "Oriental Expression Awards" took place on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the KNOSOS Theater. The participants demonstrated their love and dedication to this specific dance genre with exceptional presence and enthusiasm.
The 16-member judging panel, chaired by Ms. Anna Dimitratou, consisting of internationally recognized dance instructors and choreographers, evaluated and awarded the winners. Our honorary guest Jasirah, with her performance in the following show, impressed the audience.
The choreographies of international dancers, instructors, and dance groups were also outstanding, showcasing their best. Among them were Dia Pilatou, Niki Aspioti, Samira Masreya, Elisavet Dakoutrou, Kalypso, Eudokia Kalifatidou, Fenia Botsi, Maria Iosif, Natasha Danseuse, Nota Iliou, Dora Xagorari, Roula Desypri, Maria-Irene Hatzipanagioti, Myriam Aamina, Arnika Karra, Oriental Expression Group, 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece, and Dance Academy by Niki Aspioti.
Additionally, the fashion show featuring creations by Dinasma Design was wonderful, accompanied by live tabla music by the amazing musician Dimitris Terezakis.
Oriental Workshops
The oriental workshops with Jasirah (Saturday, March 30, 2024 – PalmTree MCA), organized by the Oriental Expression Awards, were also highly successful and impressed the participants.
The organizers warmly thank everyone who contributed to the realization and success of the competition, which aimed – as always – not only to highlight winners but also to promote individual and collective efforts and enrich our beloved dances with new trends and techniques.
